SEEPEX has been asked by Thames Water to take part in the leading utility company’s work experience programme.
The UK’s largest water and wastewater company contacted its longstanding partner SEEPEX with a request to participate at the Thames Water Long Reach Education Centre in London – one of their six education centres.
The seminar, aimed at improving the skills and employability of the next generation, was delivered to a group of 15 to 16-year-old aspiring engineers.
The SEEPEX training focused on pumps in the wastewater industry and, in particular, the principles of progressive cavity pumps and was delivered by sales manager Martin Gillman.
Greg Baker, education executive at Thames, described it as an “excellent presentation, pitched at just the right level and of great interest to the engineering students”.
