More than 20 female entrepreneurs will be able to benefit from the £1million-plus prize pot on offer in the latest Women In Innovation Awards.
The applications process is now open for the 2021/22 competition run by Innovate UK, part of the Government-funded UK Research and Innovation.
A spokesperson described the aim of the competition as “to find women with exciting, innovative ideas and ambitious plans that will inspire others”.
Applicants must be female founders, co-founders or senior decision makers working in businesses that have been operating for at least one year.
Those participating must provide proof that the award would enable their project to make a significant contribution to a pressing societal, environmental or economic challenge.
The two-phase process includes an application assessed by independent experts, followed by shortlisted applicants being interviewed by an expert panel.
