Southampton-based AI solutions provider Senseye has been bought by Siemens, in a move that will further expand the new owner’s presence in predictive maintenance.
MD of Siemens Digital Industries UK Brian Holliday announced the acquisition saying: “The acquisition of Senseye seriously bolsters our digital technology and service offer to industry.
“Senseye’s PdM predictive maintenance solution is proven across multiple sectors and now enhances our Digital Enterprise approach.”
Founded in 2014, Senseye has established itself as a global leader in the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence to enhance predictive maintenance in manufacturing and other industrial sectors.
The company says its predictive maintenance solution can reduce unplanned downtime by as much as a half and boost maintenance productivity by nearly one third.
Senseye CEO Simon Kampa welcomed the 100% acquisition of the firm, which became effective from 1 June.
“Siemens’ global presence and extensive industrial knowledge will ensure that our current and future customers benefit from innovative, seamlessly integrated Industry 4.0 solutions to drive measurable business outcomes,” said Kampa.
