Adi wins coveted Make UK apprenticeship accreditation
12 Aug 2024
Make UK has awarded adi Group its prestigious Engineering Apprenticeships Employer Kitemark silver standard accreditation.
The business, which celebrates a decade operating its own award-winning Apprenticeship Academy later this year, received its accolade after participating in the Next Gen Makers’ Best Practice Programme, which endorses exemplary employers of engineering apprenticeships.
Celebrating the win, the firm said the accreditation positioned the business at the same level as global giants such as Siemens, RBSL, Collins Aerospace.
Make UK’s accreditation process benchmarks employers’ approach against industry best practice, evaluating businesses’ efforts on training quality, apprentice support, and overall programme effectiveness.
adi Group’s Apprenticeship Academy trains young students in key areas of their chosen engineering discipline using in-house trainers. Apprentices are also supported by its Apprentice Mentoring Scheme.
Commenting on the accreditation, CEO Alan Lusty said:
“Since the start of our apprenticeship academy, we have endeavoured to create a nurturing environment where apprentices can thrive and develop the skills necessary for a successful career in engineering.
“This accolade is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and innovation that characterises our approach, and our pledge to nurture the next generation of engineering talent.”
