Better inventory control

Better inventory control is a key factor in cutting the costs of modern plant management and Foxboro is confident that it's latest developments in level measurement technology will ensure the best-ever control over liquid inventories.
At the heart of Foxboro's technology is a range of intelligent displacement transmitters. These measure the change in buoyant force on a displacer suspended in a liquid and can be used for liquid level, density or interface level measurements.
The 144LD Series is said to be capable of accurate re-ranging without the need for calibration and also communicates with the HART protocol. Its remote amplifier can be mounted up to ten metres away from the transmitter while adaptive signal filtering ensures 'smart smoothing' of levels for maximum accuracy.
Foxboro's 880 Series TankExpert Hydrostatic Tank Gauge (HTG) is a complete measurement package covering mass, volume, level, density and temperature is needed at tank farms or terminals.
Reportedly ideal for remote display, TankExpert connects directly to an I/A Series Fieldbus and provides convenient, easy-to-use inventory management via a personal computer.
Modem and computer interfaces provide flexibility, while the absence of both moving parts and in-tank components does away with the need for tricky maintenance procedures.
For liquid level measurement in open, pressurised or evacuated vessels, Foxboro offers the IDP10 I/A Series intelligent flange-mounted D/P Cell Transmitters.
These two-wire transmitters measure the difference between two pressures and transmit a proportional electrical signal in either analogue or digital mode.
They come in flush and extended diaphragm versions, 2,3 and 4-inch flange sizes and with a choice of electronics modules.
