After installing Cryo-Quick VT, the manufacturers, Air Products predicted the cryogenic freezer would increase production by 100 per cent. The target was achieved in a month. Smales, a fresh and frozen seafood processor, doubled throughput of its fillets by installing the Cryo-Quick freezer technology. The freezer is a liquid nitrogen spray tunnel that overturns the conventions of tunnel design, says Air Products. Cryo-Quick VT spins gases in a vortex through a tunnel as the product passes on a conveyor.
