Emerson displays EDDL monitoring advance

According to Emerson, its new CSI 9210 acquires vibration, temperature, motor flux, and machine speed on AC motor-pump machine trains. The unit then analyses measured data, calculates machinery health, issues alerts and recommends any necessary actions.
The EDDL improvements, mean end users now have improved access to details surrounding the analysis results, thus enabling them to make even better operational decisions, the company said 25 Oct.
The enhanced EDDL interface for field devices and valves will drive new displays to present graphs, charts, dynamic variable trends and other data in a consistent, familiar format, said Emerson.
The EDDL enhancements respond to the types of information people have asked to see, according to Brian Humes, general manager of Emerson’s Machinery Health Management business.
“For example, enhanced graphics can clearly show when the pump has exceeded the maintenance threshold for cavitation, as indicated by displaying a bar graph, as well as in the graphic of the pump itself,” said Humes.
