Vortex® Wye Line Diverter is Quantum Blessed

Vortex® is following the successful launch of its ‘Quantum’ gate valve in the
In exact imitation of the gate valve design, the Wye Line Diverter benefits from a modular construction and a blade and seal slide mechanism. The hard polymer seals are protected from blast abrasion, self-clean on the opening stroke and self-compensate for wear during their long lifespan.
There is no need to shut off the blower when operating the valve and, when compared with a flapper-type diverter, the Wye Line typically loses almost 2,000 times less air through leakage. The result is vastly increased process efficiency. Even the minimal maintenance requirement is performed with the valve in-line.
Vortex® named the valves Quantum because the unique, modular design is a huge step ahead of what was previously available, worldwide. The main body has two pressed stainless steel flanges, and the whole assembly contributes to simplified production and unrivalled lead times, including shipping from the
Compact, light-weight, yet robust construction renders the Wye Line easy to fit and makes multi-way distribution systems a cinch to plan and install. The diverter can be provided in 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4 configurations and they can be connected together to offer an almost unlimited number of permutations of system routings.
Maintenance could hardly be more straightforward. A shimming system allows the user to increase or decrease the compression force of the seals, or plates, on the blade. Quick and easy adjustments can therefore be made to improve the valve’s performance, without removal from the line, with negligible downtime. Replacement seals simply slot in place and push out the existing seal.
Designed specifically for conveying system pressures of 1bar and below, Quantum valves are available for a full range of metric and inch pipe or tube sizes, with any connection from ANSI and DIN to client specified special bolt patterns. They can be supplied individually, or as part of skid mounted, multi-point diverter packages, assembled and commissioned at the factory.
Vortex® valves can be seen in operation by arranging a visit from the Vortex® mobile demonstration unit. Interested parties can contact Vortex® at vortex.eu@vortexvalves.com.
