Multiprocessing System in an Isolator
29 Jun 2007
Hosokawa Alpine,
The multiprocessing system permits realisation of a variety of comminution processes, i.e. impact grinding, impact grinding with integrated classification, grinding in a spiral jet, opposed jet comminution in a fluidised bed as well as superfine classification.
The mill, classifier and metering subassembly is in monobloc design, i.e. made from a solid. All product-contact parts correspond to material quality AISI 316 L with a surface quality of Ra £ 0.8 µm.
The two-chamber isolator is operated under negative pressure and permits the contamination-free processing of toxic products at an "occupational exposure level" OEL of < 1 µg/m3. The a/ß transfer system permits low-contamination product feed and discharge. The system has an integrated WIP cleaning system. The isolator is made completely of stainless steel AISI 316 L with an inside surface quality of Ra £ 0.8 µm.
This multiprocessing system was developed in cooperation with a renowned global pharmaceutical enterprise and was designed and manufactured completely within the Hosokawa corporate group.
