KSB of Frankenthal,Germany, and Nikkiso Co. Ltd. of Tokyo are to establish a 50:50 joint-venture company based in Altenstadt near Frankfurt on 1 July. The Nikkiso-KSB GmbH JV will focus on developing and supplying canned motor pumps for customers in Europe and the Middle East. The JV will be the second largest supplier in the Euro50m, European market for these seal-less pumps, said KSB. The pumps are used for processes in which zero leakage of the fluid pumped is an absolute requirement, for example for the transport of explosive or toxic media. The main customers are industrial plant engineering contractors as well as chemical and process engineering companies |
