Milking equipment maker migrates to new ERP system
4 Jun 2009
Farnborough, UK – Fullwood Limited, a UK designer and manufacturer of milking equipment, has extended its investment in Infor solutions with a migration from Infor ERP MK to Infor ERP LN to enhance customer order accuracy and speed up order processing times. The new system is expected to go live for 60 UK users in January 2010.
Fullwood has seen an increase in customer orders of more than 40% since 2007, which led it to seek a more sophisticated ERP system. The system had been due for change in 2011, but the company decided it was necessary to change systems earlier in order to further enhance our business processes.
We looked at Infor ERP LN and two other solutions, and decided that Infor’s software best matched our goals, due to its extensive functionality and preconfigured design," said Fullwood director Spencer Davis. "We believe ERP LN will improve our management of data so we can track customer orders more efficiently, optimise delivery accuracy and cut down the time it takes to process orders.”
Fullwood manufactures a range of milking technologies, including automated milking solutions that incorporate laser sighting technology. Fullwood places identity tags on each cow and uses the latest herd management software to provide the intricate details of each and every cow’s milking habits.
“Understanding the characteristics of individual cow’s milking patterns is pivotal in maximising the production of milk from a herd. With Infor ERP LN, we are in a strong position as a leading manufacturer of milking machines to meet the unique needs of entire herds,” explains Davis.
