Beamex has developed a new, mobile, paperless solution called bMobile for maintenance-related checks.
The company’s CMX calibration management software is used to communicate with the bMobile application, enabling a streamlined process for the scheduling, performing and documenting of preventive maintenance.
Beamex says the use of CMX software for inspections allows for the planning of safety checks, safety instrumented systems (SIS) and hazardous area installation inspections (among others), many of which are still paper-based and labour-intensive.
When it is time to perform an inspection, a work order is sent from CMX to the mobile device – whether it be an Android tablet or phone – and goes out into the field.
The bMobile application then guides users through all the steps, allowing them to make the pass or fail decision and add notes. The test results are stored in the app.
The results can be uploaded into the CMX software and stored in the database.
