The RMS Reliability Training Institute provides vibration analysis courses which can be delivered face-to-face or via a customised, on-site programme (or a combination of both).
These courses range from an introductory overview to higher end training that exceeds the ISO 18436-2 Category IV standard and meets the ASNT Level IV Recommended Practice (for vibration analysis).
Other areas covered include the benefits and methods of shaft alignment; the importance of precision balancing; diagnosing faults in electric motors; bearing fault diagnosis; and reliability/condition based maintenance.
RMS says that there is one dominant factor that separates successful analysts with analysts who struggle – the quality and volume of the training they receive.
The company uses 3D animations and software simulators to enable trainees to see inside the machine so that the vibration and faults are clearer. Tutors have more than 20 years engineering experience, says the company.
RMS is also an approved examination centre for Mobius Institute and The British Institute of NDT vibration analysis certification, conforming to ISO and ASNT standards.
