RMS showcases ‘game changing’ camera technology

New revolutionary Motion Amplification (MA) technology from RDI visualises vibration of a machine in video form.
Reliability Maintenance Solutions is presenting the Iris M system to the condition monitoring and asset reliability market.
“We genuinely feel the MA technology is a ‘game changer’ in terms of vibration verification, troubleshooting and root cause analysis via its amazing ability to clearly visualise vibration motion,” says RMS founder and managing director Dean Whittle.
The company adds that the system, developed by RDI, helps to identify where deflection, movement and vibration is coming from by visualising the motion of a complete system, asset, machine or components, using the camera’s 2.3 million sensors.
Motion amplification can be applied to many types of assets and processes such as rotating equipment, pipework, vessels, structures, and machine processes.
RMS is showcasing this new technology at this year’s Maintec from 21-23 March (Stand M280).
