Since TLV introduced its steam trap technology more than 40 years ago, Free Float traps have been used in increasing numbers in manufacturing plants throughout the world.
The traps boast an elegant design, featuring one moving part: a precision ground spherical float providing an infinite number of contact sites within the orifice.
TLV’s JX series steam traps are suitable for a wide variety of industries including textiles, food, rubber, petrochemical, fine chemicals, paper, steel mills and printing, where equipment uses steam as a heat source.
This helps make the JX series TLV’s most widely used series of steam traps, covering a range of condensate loads, from hundreds of kg/h to several tens of tons of kg/h.
The JX series offers large condensate discharge capacities and continuous discharge of condensate to prevent accumulation inside the equipment.
The Free Float moves up and down in response to the level of condensate inflow, automatically adjusting the amount of valve opening, and continuously discharging condensate while minimising steam loss, says the company.
