KROHNE, a specialist in the design and manufacture of industrial process instrumentation, has recently launched its newest addition to the OPTIMASS family of mass flowmeters.
The new instruments, the OPTIMASS 2400 and 6400, are Coriolis mass flowmeters designed specifically for the measurement of very large flowrates.
These new flowmeters feature large turndown ratio for best possible accuracy and minimum pressure drop, says the company, enhanced with EGM for entrained gas management and for a compact installation envelope – suitable for metering skids and offshore applications.
KROHNE’s new 2400 and 6400 designs are a response to the market requirements for flowmeters with a small installation envelope and mounting flexibility, vertically or horizontally, in close proximity to other pipes and alongside other equipment, catwalks and platforms.
The OPTIMASS 2400 S400 is a four straight tube design with the smallest installation envelope in its class, says KROHNE. With a maximum flowrate of 4,600 tons per hour, it features the highest flow capacity of any Coriolis meter on the market.
The OPTIMASS 6400 is a twin bent tube design for high pressure up to 200 barg/2900 psi, cryogenic and high temperature application from -200°C up to 400°C.
