The Wolfson Centre for Bulk Solids Handling Technology, based at the University of Greenwich, has revealed details of its latest short courses related to the storage of bulk materials.
‘Overview of Particulate Handling Technology’ runs from 9-11 October and is aimed at those who wish to learn the basis of bulk materials handling including equipment selection, design methodology and troubleshooting techniques.
‘Pneumatic Conveying of Bulk Materials’, running from 6-8 November, will cover subjects including system components, design techniques, operation and control of blow tank systems, explosion hazards and operational problems.
The courses are aimed at engineers, plant managers, skilled operatives, maintenance crew, design engineers, equipment manufacturers and health and safety personnel.
Anyone handling bulk solid materials in their various forms such as powders, particulates, granules or lumped materials could benefit from these courses, say the course organisers.
