The Wolfson Centre for Bulk Solids Handling Technology, based at the University of Greenwich, has revealed details of its course calendar for 2019.
Those who attend can learn the techniques to predict and solve bulk materials handling problems.
The new courses, which have evolved through the Wolfson Centre’s consultancy services, include ‘Dust Control in Processes’, ‘Numerical Modelling of Solids Handling and Processing’ and ‘Port and Terminal Operations for Bulk Cargoes’.
Amongst the already established basic and advanced courses are ‘Pneumatic Conveying of Bulk Materials’, ‘Overview of Particulate Handling Technology’ and ‘Storage and Discharge of Powders and Bulk Solids’.
The courses are aimed at equipment designers and manufacturers of bulk materials handling equipment; equipment/site operators; process, engineering and operations managers; senior management and transport/logistics operators.
Anyone handling bulk solid materials in their various forms such as powders, particulates, granules or lumped materials could benefit from these courses, say the course organisers.
