Enhanced career prospects, increased earning potential and recognition of your expertise – these are just some of the benefits of professional registration.
The Energy Institute (EI) is a not-for-profit professional membership body, licensed by the Engineering Council. Professional titles available through them include CEng, IEng, EngTech, CEnv and Chartered Energy Manager – a title unique to the EI.
By becoming an EI member and applying for professional registration, you also gain a whole host of other benefits, including:
- Discounted training courses: The EI’s extensive training portfolio is available in classroom in the UK, and increasingly online from anywhere in the world. The qualifications are developed and taught by leading experts, regularly updated with the latest developments in technology, best practice and policy, and respected by employers across business sectors.
- Knowledge resources: Over 90,000 books, periodicals, factsheets and statistics spanning the whole industry are available on the EI online database and physical library in central London. Members not only gain access to the full database but can also visit and work in the library upon request. An online professional development system is also included, to help members organise and record your progression.
- Unrivalled networking opportunities: The EI regularly holds a range of seminars, conferences, social events, and award ceremonies. EI membership provides a number of networking opportunities where you can connect with fellow energy professionals. You can also share your expertise via speaking opportunities at events, writing editorial content for publications and contributing towards informing energy policy through participating in peer-reviewing responses to government consultations.
